But... I don´t speak spanish. Could I follow the workshop?
-We always give the class in spanish but what we do with english speakers is to send them in advance the notes of the workshop in english plus some tutorial videos & links. Moreover, the teacher speaks english so if you have any doubt you can ask him.

How many will we be?
-Maximum 6 people.

Do I need previous knowledge?
-No, this course is ideal both for beginners without experience and for those who need an update or refresh of the screen printing technique.

Is the material included??
-Yes, of course. All course material is included. We will only need to have your design a few days before.. Solo necesitaremos disponer de tu diseño unos días antes.
-Once you have signed up for the course you will receive detailed information to prepare the design of the course.

Will I be able to handprint T-shirts or on my own paper?
-Yes, of course. To all the material included you can add a maximum of 3 more items. For example, if you want to print t-shirts, you can add 3 t-shirts that you can bring from home or buy at a nearby store. Of course, that they are not very dark in color because we print with black ink.

What artprint incorporates the Diploma?
-A cut-out illustration of the Diploma, silkscreened and in a limited edition of 2 colors on Fredigoni Paper 300gr, 35x25cm. The screenprint, that varies every 4 months. It has been created especially for the Academy by some of our interns. Design and illustration students who carry out their internships with us. This very special piece is part of our catalog and is also for sale for 35€

Is there a minimum age to take the course?
-There is no minimum age. But it is important to know that the workshop also has a theoretical part and that the entire course, including practice, lasts 5 hours. With a small break of 10 minutes before handprinting. We think that if the adolescent students are very interested, they will be able to do it. But accompaniment with adults is always recommended.

Do I have to meet any special requirements to sign up?
-Yes, eager to learn while enjoying!

Even before entering the Studio through a skype/zoom in which we will advise you on materials and how to approach your project.

Even when using the exposure unit?
-Yes. Especially in this part of the process we will be with you to make sure that your designs are revealed on your screen frame.

Do I have to bring the ink to use the Studio?

Do I have to have my own squeege and screen frame?
-It is always recommended. But you can also use our squeeges. And if you even prefer rent our screen frames.

Perhaps I use the Studio only occasionally. Do I have to buy the 1Kg photo emulsion?
-There's no need. We can coat your screen for €7 or €9 depending on its size.

What is the timetable of the Studio?
-From Monday to Thursday, from 10am to 2pm in the morning. And from 4:15 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the afternoon.

If I create arprints can they be part of your catalogue?
Of course. Many prints in our catalog are made in our Studio by members of the Academy. In fact, we have a section expressly dedicated to highlighting these works. Take a look at the section Studio Prints of our catalogue.

And if I print t-shirts, can you send me supplier contacts?
-Of course. You can even place orders through us and get your shirts at super cheap prices.

Do I need to know anything else??

Àlex Costa, ideologue and founder of Print Workers Barcelona. Degree in Engraving and Printing Techniques from the University of Barcelona. To his work as an artist he unites his passion for teaching.
