In screen printing, the term "ghost" refers to the trace that ink leaves on stencils after printing. It is the memory of past prints that stains the screen mesh but does not clog it. And if there are ghosts, there are also anti-ghosting products that eliminate these traces. Thus was born the name of this German art collective, Antighost Siebdrucke ("Antighost Siebdrucke" in German). The taste for experimentation of Christian a.k.a. Graustufen, the graphic virtuosity of Martin Burkhardt and the always musical talent of Gotz merged in 2013 to give shape in Mannheim to this fascinating project that combines a passion for gig posters with a passion for printing graphic work.
Ever since the entire Antighost visited us on the occasion of Give Print a Chance in 2016, they have been feeding our shop with their masterclasses in screen printing in the form of gig posters and super limited edition art prints. A real luxury from one of the most interesting and active screen printing artists' studios in Germany and one of the most representative of the current screen printing boom.
