One fine day for us Mar Estrama came to study in Barcelona and stayed here for the love of music. Playing in different bands and organising concerts in the purest love & rockets style, she began to create her first illustrations for records and posters. Taking the leap to silkscreen printing was her next step. Passionate about manual printing systems and especially in love with screen printing and its superimposition of layers.
Mar Estrama has already developed a 100% personal language and visual discourse. Musical and graphic self-publishing. Her super limited edition silkscreen prints give off the freshness of immediacy and Riot Grrrl commitment in equal parts.
Mar Estrama is not only one of the artists that hopefully you will be able to meet live during Give Print a Chance. She has also been a teacher at our Academy. Lucky You!
